ADDENDUM #
RAPID RESPONSE WATERCRAFT
RFP #05-06-020
Please be advised the following questions were received pursuant to the RFP and by the due date and
time for receipt of all questions.
Q1: Our company has several craft available that could meet the requirements of the
RFP. Are there current models that the city is considering for the procurement, or that
the requirements for the RFP were based on?
Al: The .RFP was not based on any particular model. The City will select the proposal and
watercraft most advantageous and in the best interest of the City.
Q2: What vessels does the city currently have in its existing fleet and who were the
previous builders?
A2: City does not have any existing vessel like this and thus no previous builders.
Q3: We have been developing a fast response craft design that could be tailored to the
requirements set forth in your RFP. Would the city be willing to entertain a proposal for
a new vessel design?
A3: This design is based on previous craft designs, but tailored to meet more current
requirements, including recent Department of I- omeland Security regulations. The RFP
identifies overall vessel specifications without any specific manufacturer vessel design. Vessel
design meeting the RFP minimum acceptable requirements are part of the manufacturer's
proposal responsibility.
Q4: The equipment suppliers will not cover unlimited hours warranty for 5 years as
requested. Is this requirement mandatory?
A4: The City of Miami requests that, in your proposal, the manufacturer/dealer provide their
closest options to a live (5) year unlimited warranty stipulated in item numbers 36, 38, 39, 40,
41 and 42.
