Purpose of Item:
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG")
FUNDS, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $50,500, FROM CITY OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT- DISTRICT FIVE RESERVE ACCOUNT; ALLOCATING SAID
FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $32,800, TO RAFAEL HERNANDEZ HOUSING & ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT CORP. ("RHHED") AND THE AMOUNT OF $17,700 TO CITY OF MIAMI
DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMERCIAL FACADE PROGRAM AS
SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT "A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE
ATTACHED FORM(S), WITH RAFAEL HERNANDEZ HOUSING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
CORP, FOR SAID PURPOSE
Background Information:
Pursuant to Resolution Number 06-0371, adopted June 8, 2006, the City Commission approved the
allocation, in the amount of $50,500, to the City of Miami Department of Community Development
The Administration is requesting the transfer of said funds, in the amount of $32,800, to RHHED and
the amount of $17,700 to City of Miami Department of Community Development Commercial Facade
program for the reasons specified in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated
