Unification of these parcels will allow the development of the College of Policing, Project B-72910. Purpose of Item: To authorize the City Manager to execute a unity of title for 2 separate city -owned parcels in order to create a single development site. The development site will become the City of Miami College of Policing. The unity of title is required by the Planning, Zoning and Building departments in order for the project to be approved and permitted. Background Information: The College of Policing, a Public Safety project included in the City's Capital Plan, will add a state- of-the-art police training facility immediately south of the current police headquarters building. The training facility will include a shooting range, classrooms, large auditorium style classroom, offices, officer survival drill area and shooting simulator room. The project is currently in the early stages of design. The College of Policing is intended to be directly connected to and a part of a greater police complex, including the Miami Police Headquarters. Pursuant to Section 910 of Zoning Ordinance Number 11000, the City's Planning, Zoning and Building departments require that adjacent parcels be bound in perpetuity by a Unity of Title prior to issuing any building permits or other approvals. The City Attorney's Office prepared the attached Unity of Title for the 2 adjacent city -owned parcels to be unified. Budget Impact Analysis NO Is this item related to revenue?
