Subject: EMERGENCY VEHICLE EQUIPMENT --- CITYWIDE
Purpose of Item:
The nature of this item is to establish a contract for Emergency Vehicle Equipment — Citywide with
various vendors, for an initial contractual period of two years with options for renewal for two (2)
additional one-year periods on an as needed basis under the Bid prices, terms and conditions.
Allocating funds from the various sources of funds from the user departments and agencies,
authorizing said purchases as needed, subject to availability of funds and budget approval at time of
need.
Background Information:
The City has a need to periodically replace the Emergency Vehicle Equipment — Citywide. The
Purchasing Department issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB-No. 05-06-035). As required by the
Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised, and approximately twenty-two (22) potential bidders
downloaded the bid document on-line. Bids were due and received by the City Clerk on August 28,
2006 at 2:00 p.m. Seven (7) Bidders submitted their bids and all bids have been tabulated. The
Purchasing Department is recommending the award to various venders as the lowest responsive,.
responsible bidders.
