HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Zoning Write Up (Plans) Page 1 ReplacementELIZABETH VIRRICK PARK 3255 PLAZA STREET MIAMI, FLORIDA LIBRARY ADDITION TO EXISTING COMMUNITY CENTER ZONING DESIGNATION: PR PARKS, RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL EXCEPTION PERMIT SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH ZONING ORDINANCE 11000 AND CITY CODE, AS AMENDED, AND ALL APPLICABLE CRITERIA, CONSIDERATIONS AND/OR OTHER REGULATIONS. The proposed development "Library addition to existing Community Center" will be comprised of a new one story structure with approximately 4,065 square feet of floor area, including lobby, men and women rooms, janitor's closet and mechanical/electrical rooms. Pursuant to Ordinance 11000, as amended, Supplement 14, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami Florida, the subject proposal for LIBRARY ADDITION TO EXISTING COMMUNITY CENTER at 3255 PLAZA STREET MIAMI, FLORIDA, has been submitted and reviewed to allow an application for Special Exception Permit and a Variance, subject to all applicable criteria; REQUEST, for a VARIANCE, as per, ARTICLE 19, ARTICLE 4, Section 401, PR Parks, Recreation and Open Space, to allow a relaxation of the City of Miami Ordinance for the required off-street parking stalls on proposed library addition as follows; Library Addition Off-street parking stalls required Off-street parking stalls proposed Request to waive: 10 0 10 SPECIAL EXCEPTION, as per Article 4, Section 401, under Conditional Principal Uses of PR Parks, Recreation and Open Space, to allow the construction of a Library by Special Exception with City Commission approval in PR Parks, Recreation and Open Space Districts ; This SPECIAL EXCEPTION PERMIT encompasses the following Special Permits and Requests: CLASS II SPECIAL PERMIT, as per ARTICLE 9, Section 927. Temporary structures, occupancies, and uses during construction, criteria for special permits, to allow temporary structures, occupancies, and uses reasonably necessary for construction such as construction fence, covered walkway and if encroaching public property must be approved by other city departments;
