Purpose of Item: The administration recommends that the Miami City Commission adopt the attached resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute Amendment Number 1 to the Department of Environmental Protection ("DEP") Agreement Number CZ603, which agreement provided the City $50,000 in grant funds for the Virginia Key Master plan, to extend the reimbursement period to the completion date of the project. Direct � � /��' C� � (�� - Chief City Manager N/A Page 1 of 2 SUPPLEMENTAL SHEET Subject: Grant Agreement Amendment No. 1 between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the City of Miami for the Virginia Key Master Plan. Background Information: The City received a grant from the Department of Environmental Protection ("DEP") in the amount of $50,000 with a local match of an equal amount to aid in funding the Virginia Key Master Plan. The term to use the monies expired on September 30, 2006. However, DEP has determined that it is necessary to amend and extend the project period date to June 30, 2007 in order to expand reimbursements throughout the entire duration of the project.
