Subject: Grant Agreement Amendment No. 1 between the Florida Department of Environmental
Protection and the City of Miami for the Virginia Key Master Plan.
Background Information:
The City received a grant from the Department of Environmental Protection ("DEP") in the amount of
$50,000 with a local match of an equal amount to aid in funding the Virginia Key Master Plan. The
term to use the monies expired on September 30, 2006. However, DEP has determined that it is
necessary to amend and extend the project period date to June 30, 2007 in order to expand
reimbursements throughout the entire duration of the project.
