Director City Manager Paie 1 of 2 Subject: Revocable License Agreement with Partnership for Recovery Background Information: Partnership for Recovery was created by a group of community and corporate leaders to raise funds to aid Miami -Dade County residents impacted by Hurricane Wilma and in need of replacement housing. There are still many roofs in Miami -Dade County including many within the City of Miami limits that still have blue tarps on their roofs. The Partnership for Recovery has designed a program to assist low income home owners with repairs and replacement of their damaged roofs caused by Hurricane Wilma and they are currently in need of office space to facilitate their operations. The City of Miami currently has space at the Overtown Shopping Center that is available for Partnership for Recovery's use. Since a significant number of the of the blue roofs are in the City of Miami, the City proposes to make the space available to Partnership for Recovery at a nominal fee of $1.00 as the City's contribution to this initiative. The Partnership shall be required to pay for its own electric and telephone services, and maintenance and janitorial service for its space. The Partnership anticipates requiring the space for a period not to exceed nine (9) months. Notwithstanding same, the license agreement provides that the City Manager may revoke the agreement at -will, without the consent of the Licensee and that the Licensee may cancel the agreement without cause upon providing 30 days advance written notice to the City.
