HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 06-01709 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DECLARING NO OBJECTION FOR THE STATE'S CODESIGNATION OF NORTHWEST 54TH STREET FROM SR5/US1 TO NORTHEAST 2ND AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA {A STATE ROAD), AS "TOUSSAINT L'OUVERTURE BOULEVARD;" FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO TRANSMIT A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE ELECTED OFFICIALS DESIGNATED HEREIN. WHEREAS, pursuant to the request made by the Florida Department of Transportation for honorary designation of roads located in the City of Miami, the Miami City Commission has no objections to the proposed street codesignation of Northwest 54th Street from SR5/US1 and Northeast 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida (a State Road), as "Toussaint L'Ouverture Boulevard;" NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Miami City Commission declares no objection in the codesignation by the Florida Legislature of Northwest 54th Street from SR5/US1 to Northeast 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida, {a State Road), as "Toussaint L'Ouverture Boulevard." Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Governor Jeb Bush and the members of the Florida Legislature. Section 4.
