HomeMy WebLinkAboutSpecificationsSPECIFICATIONS MODEL VPD3616LHANE VAC•CON GENERAL 1, The machine is capable of removing stones: grit, grease, sludge and other debris from sanitary sewer and/or storm drain lines by the flushing action of high-pressure water. 2. The high-pressure sewer cleaner operates Independent of the vacuum system. 3. The machine includes an air conveying vacuum system to provide for the simultaneous removal of the debris flushed to the manhole by the high pressure water system or for the removal of debris from sewers, sumps, catch basins, digesters, wet wells, bar screens, etc, 4. The machine is capable of being operated by one man, with all operating controls for high pressure water pump, hose reel, and vacuum, located at the front of the machine for safety. DEBRIS BODY 5. Debris storage body has a minimum usable liquid capacity of 16 cubic yards. 6. The body is round for maximum strength and constructed of 3/16" Corten "A" steel for corrosion resistance 7, The rear door is MI opening, hinged at the top (hinges is adjustable) with a minimum 6" diameter liquid drain for removing excess liquids. The drain has a knifevalve installed at the opening. Drain has 10' of 6" layflat hose. 6. The rear door is supplied with a debris deflector shield located inside the debris tank that encompasses 75% of the rear door. The debris deflector shield deflects material from the rear door and aids in draining off excess liquids. A rear door safety prop is provided. 9. There are no hydraulic components located inside of the debris body. 10. The debris body has five (5) externally mounted door locks that lock hydraulically. One manual "T" bolt is installed for operator safety. The hydraulic locks are controlled by one hydraulic cylinder externally mounted for ease of service. Each lock is fully adjustable. 11, A hydraulic grabber is installed and controlled by one hydraulic cylinder externally mounted for ease of servioe. The hydraulic looks and grabber are operated by one (1) sequential control. 12. In order to allow the operator to control the discharging of liquids from the debris tank by cracking open the door prior to the dumping procedure, the hydraulic grabber engages the door at the bottom of the door from 0" - 6". Beyond the 6" stroke, the grabber automatically disengages the door, allowing for the dumping of the debris tank. 13. A double acting power up/power down hydraulic scissors lift mechanism is provided to raise body to a 50° angle. 14. The scissors lift mechanism is designed to support a minimum of 24 inches of the debris tank width to provide stability and when dumping on uneven ground. 15. The lift capacity of the hydraulic scissors lift cylinder is 56,000 lbs. 16, Dump controls are located on the curbside mid -ship of the unit, well forward of the dumping area for operator safety. A manual override system is provided in case of system failure, 17. The debris body has a five-year non pro -rated warranty. 18. An internal polyethylene float device with internal indicator Is supplied to show when body is loaded to capacity. AUTOMATIC VACUUM BREAKER 19. The automatic vacuum breaker assembly is located inside the body. 20. A full indication activates an automatic vacuum breaker shut down system that completely shuts down 100%6 of the airflow to the vacuum system to prevent body overfilling and wastewater discharge into the atmosphere. 21. The vacuum breaker system is automatically activated (closed) when the parking brake system is released to eliminate carryover during transit, 22. The system is also controlled, activated, at the front hose reel control station and pendant control. This feature enables the operator to pick up large debris with the boom and place debris on the road surface. This system is used for safely in the event suction must be shut off in case of an emergency. POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT BLOWER 23. The positive displacement blower is capable of a minimum 3600 CFM's at 16" of mercury. 24. The blower is powered by the chassis engine via hydrostatics. The compressor is a closed loop hydrostatic system using a variable piston pump and motor. 25. This system includes a heat exchanger for extreme ambient conditions and to maintain the pump suction oil temp at 160° F. max. The heat exchanger Is protected by a 30-micron filter and cold weather bypass valve. Hydrostatic loop filtration is accomplished by a 10 Beta micron return filter and a 10-micron Absolute (no bypass) charge filter. 26. To maximize long term durability by reducing the load on one side of the compressor, the compressor shaft extends through the compressor and is additionally stabilized by using two high speed bearings, one at each end of the shaft. 1 SPECIFICATIONS MODEL VPD3676LHANE 27. A means of starling and stopping the vacuum from the operator's station at the front of the machine is provided. 28. Two (2) 3" diameter vacuum relief valves protect the blower. 29. The system incorporates an air/water separator and a sound silencer to separate material before it enters the blower and to ensure quite operation. WATER SUPPLY 30, The water tank has a minimum usable capacity of 1500 U.S. gallons. 31. The water tanks ere constructed of non -corrosive, non-metallic, durable, cross -linked polyethylene to eliminate rust, corrosion, and stress cracking. 32, The water tanks are mounted at and below the truck Frame level to provide a low center of gravity for truck stability. 33, A 2.112" diameter x 25' long hydrant hose with hydrant wrench is supplied on the unit. 34. An anti -syphon fill device is installed on the unit. 35. Quick removal hatches are provided on all water tanks for access ror lush out, to fill tanks, or to add chemicals to the water tank. 36. A sight gauge to indicate water level is located within sight of the operator station. 37. The water tanks are protected by a minimum of 11 gauge steel plating mounted below the water tanks for protection against road hazards when unit travels over the road, off the road or to land fills. 38, The water tanks have a five-year replacement warranty. VACUUM PICKUP HOSE 39. Is front loading, attached at the front of the machine in order to provide ease of positioning the machine over the manhole, as well as afford maximum safety to the operator. 40, The 8" diameter hose is mounted on a boom that will provide a minimum of 18' vertical lift utblizing dual hydraulic cylinders and 230° of boom rotation powered hydraulically for non -interrupted smooth movement Boom to have a lift capacity of 500 Ihs at the front bumper. 41, Control of the boom is by means of a "joystick" control at the operator's station, requiring no cables at operator's feet for boom operation. A 6-way remote pendant station is also supplied. 42. The boom is powered by an electric over hydraulic system: upldown by dual lift cylinders. The rightlleft movements are hydraulic. 43. A manual override system is provided for inlout, rightlleft, and upldown functions in case of system failure. 44. The boom is hydraulically telescoped a minimum of 10' forward from the front operator's station. The height of the pick up hose does not change while the boom is being telescoped. 45. Pipe extensions to clean to 30,5' are carried on the truck as follows: a. 1-6.5' nozzle. b. 1.6' aluminum pipe extension, c. 3-5' aluminum pipe extension. d. 1-3' aluminum pipe extension. HIGH PRESSURE WATER PUMP 46. The high-pressure water pump is rated to deliver smooth continuous pressure and flow through the entire flow range of the pump. 47. A continuous duty flow of 80 g,p.m, and 2000 psi is provided. 48. High-pressure relief valves are provided for both the high-pressure system and handgun system. 49. The water pump operates independently of the vacuum system and is powered by the chassis diesel engine. 50. The water pump is capable of running dry. 51. Controls for starting and stopping the system, and to vary the flow and pressure are at the front hose reel operators station, 52, The high-pressure water pump is equipped with cold weather drain valves, The valves allow the operator to completely drain the high-pressure pump. HOSE REEL ASSEMBLY 53. The hose reel assembly is on the front of the vehicle. 54. The hose reel has a minimum of 30" Inside diameter with a capacity of 600' x 1" hose. 55. The hose reel is hydraulically powered in both directions by means of a double chain and sprocket drive, The controls for operating the motor have a Clow control device to regulate the rotational speed of the reel in both directions. All hydraulic hoses are behind a steel housing to protect operator from hydraulic oil if a hose fails. 58, The hydraulic motor, chain, and sprockets have a protective cover or are mounted on the radiator side of the hose reel for operator safely. 2 SPECIFICATIONS MODEL VPD3616LHAN E 57. The hose reel articulates 180° allowing operator to work in any position through this arc, This allows greater flexibility in truck placement for manholes located in tough areas ad provides greater safety to the operator. 58. Reel extends beyond the width of unit for greater flexibility for positioning reel over offset manholes, catch basins, etc. 59. A hydraulic outrigger leg that is controlled hydraulically is supplied that conies in contact with the ground at any one position, 60, Awarning light is located in the cab to warn the operator that the outrigger leg is not in its transported position prior to moving the unit 61. A manual bypass system for the hose reel assembly is provided to manually puil the reel assembly away from its transported position. This feature allows operator to check fluids without starting engines. MANHOLE CLEANING WATER SYSTEM (HAND GUN) 62. The high-pressure pump and independent water tank assemblies supplied are used for manhole cleaning. 63. A smooth continuous flow of 20 g.p.m. and pressure of 600 psi is provided for ease of operation. 64. A handgun pressure relief valve set at 600 psi is provided. 65. One full functioning handgun with on/off hand control, replaceable nozzle tip, 12" extension, adjustable spray and 50' x 'A" handgun hose with quick disconnects and retractable reel is provided. 66. The handgun will attach to the system via a quick couple connection at the curbside of the unit. To avoid being coiled at the operators station a hand gun holder is provided at the front bumper. JET HOSE 67. 600' X 1"" high pressure jet hose, rated for 2500 psi working pressure and 6250 psi burst pressure is provided on the unit. 68. A heavy-duty hose guide with 25' of nylon rope is provided. 69. Nozzles are provided as follows: a. 1-Chisel head "penetrating" nozzle with tungsten carbide inserts b. 1.30° sanitary nozzle with tungsten carbide inserts HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AND LUBRICATION 70. The hydraulic system has a 45-gallon capacity. 71. The hydraulic system incorporates a main shutoff valve in case of hydraulic failure. 72. The hydraulic system incorporates hydraulic pressure relief valves and pressure gauges for ease of trouble shooting and maintenance. 73. The unit is equipped on the passenger side•mid-section of the module with a permanent weatherproof white vinyl lubrication chart. 74. Chassis to be painted white. 98. Unit paint surface is shot blasted, primed and sanded prior to paint. 99. Unit is painted with DuPont lmron 5000 polyurethane paint, and has reflective side stripes and chevrons LIG14 LNG 100. The entire module electrical system is vapor sealed to eliminate moisture damage. 101. All wiring is color -coded, labeled and run in sealed terminal enclosures. 102.
