I observed decay on a lower scaffold branch that was previously headed off, and mechanical damage on base from what seems to be evidence of a previous failure. This tree is also currently braced although I believe it to be not serving much purpose at this point. It would also be reasonable to extrapolate that on the northeast quadrant of this there is possibly not much if any root system at all due to previous failure.
