As per Miami 21 Article 4 Table 3, a Civic Recreational Facility requires an
approved Warrant permit for improvements. We have applied for a Building Permit
BD23-007749-001 and also the Warrant Permit PZ23-16544 for approval.
This project is located at Maurice Ferre Park, owned by the City of Miami and
managed by Bayfront Park Management Trust.
This is an existing park, with operating hours from 7:00am to 10:00 pm, with and
existing parking lot, dog park area and restroom facility as well as walkways around
the entire park.
This new project consists of constructing a 3,225sf concrete pad adjacent to the
existing walkway and will have 23 outdoor fitness equipments mounted for the
general public's use.

photographs, calculate critical root zone (CRZ) and tree protection zones, formulate

Stem. Minimum 20' radius from trunk Tree protection zone shall be installe
protect 40' Critical root zone of this tree and done under ANSI A-300 guidelines
should this tree need protection during construction. I observed decay on a lower
scaffold branch that was previously headed off, and mechanical damage on base
from what seems to be evidence of a previous failure. This tree is also currently
braced although I believe it to be not serving much purpose at this point. It would
also be reasonable to extrapolate that on the northeast quadrant of this there is
possibly not much if any root system at all due to previous failure. This tree is
proposed to remain amongst the proposed Fitness area plans.

approved by the City, the Final Decision of the Planning Director, or his designee, may be
appealed to the Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board by any aggrieved party within fifteen (15)
days of the date of posting of the decision on the City's website. In consideration of the City
agreeing to approve and issue the above -referenced Special Permit(s) and any associated
