HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-24-0192 City of Miami City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Resolution R-24-0192 Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com Legislation File Number: 15979 Final Action Date: 5/23/2024 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION GRANT AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE STATE OF FLORIDA'S CONTRIBUTION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,841,311.00, FOR CAPITAL FUNDING FOR UP TO FOUR (4) NEW REPLACEMENT TRANSIT VEHICLES. WHEREAS, in an effort to reduce vehicular congestion, improve pedestrian mobility, and enhance transit service, within the City of Miami ("City"), the City wishes to replace transit and WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") has programmed proposed acquisition of transit vehicles; and WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends entering into a Public purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. 1 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute the Agreement, in substantially the attached form, between the City and FDOT. 1 Section 3. The City Manager is authorized amount of $1,841,311.00 for the operating costs associated with the Miami Trolley system. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and 2 signature of the Mayor. 1 The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code provisions.
