BOX 592075 MIAMI, FLORIDA 33159-2075 (305) 876-7000 RE: Revised Height Analysis for the Miami River Rapids, Located at the Southwest corner of NW 27'1' Ave. and the Miami River, in Miami, FL. Dear Ms Gelabert-Sanchez: The Miami -Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) has recently reviewed the above referenced project in regards to airspace in its capacity as a Large Scale Development Review committee member, This proposed project consists of nine buildings ranging in heights from 144 ft to 196 ft, On our previous correspondence dated October 12, 2005 to the City of Miami, we had indicated a maximum allowable height of 160 ft. Above Mean Sea Level (AMSL). However, recent discussions with 'Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) obstruction evaluation specialists have made us aware of potentially hazardous conditions in an aircraft engine -out situation if the referenced project were constructed to a height of 160 ft AMSL, Thus, due to extenuating circumstances and in the interest. of safety, MIDAD has reviewed its previously issued determination and has revised it to a maximum height for any structure at the project location to 130 ft AMSL. Should you have any questions or if I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact me at 305-876-8080. a los, R., A ef of Aviation Planning JR/cf Attachment C: S.
