HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-06-0539City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-06-0539 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 06-01514 Final Action Date: 9/12/2006 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ECOMEDIA, LLC, FOR THE ADOPT -A -WATERWAY PROGRAM. WHEREAS, on June 25, 2003, the Miami City Commission adopted Resolution No. 03-726, to enter into a professional services agreement with Adopt -A -Waterway, LLC, in order to implement the proprietary Adopt -A -Waterway program within the City of Miami ("City"); and WHEREAS, Adopt -A -Waterway, LLC, has broadened its proprietary program to include multiple aspects of the environment, including water, air, and green space, and public education issues regarding these issues, and has changed its name to Ecomedia, LLC; and WHEREAS, the City and Econmedia, LLC, desire to enter into an amendment to the professional services agreement to permit the City to participate in the expanded Adopt -A -Waterway program and to change the terms and conditions of the City's participation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to negotiate and to execute an Amendment to the professional services agreement with Ecomedia, LLC, for the Adopt -A -Waterway Program. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} Footnotes: City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 06-01514 (Version: 2) Printed On: 2/15/2017 File Number: 06-01514 Enactment Number: R-06-0539 {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
