A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE MIAMI-DADE
COUNTY BUILDING BETTER COMMUNITIES GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND, IN
THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $13,786,000, FOR THE GRAPELAND HEIGHTS PARK
AND LITTLE HAITI PARK CAPITAL PROJECTS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE RESPECTIVE PROJECT AGREEMENTS, IN
SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORMS, FOR SAID PURPOSES; AMENDING
THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS APPROPRIATIONS RESOLUTION
NO. 05-0689, ADOPTED NOVEMBER 17, 2005, AS AMENDED, TO REFLECT THE
ADDITION OF SAID FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Department of Capital Improvements and Transportation ("Department") received
a commitment of funds from the Miami -Dade County Building Better Communities General Obligation
Bond ("GOB") for the following capital projects in the following amounts; Grapeland Heights Park,
B-35828, B-30105 ($8,509,000), also known as Miami -Dade County GOB Project No. 82-70586, and
Little Haiti Park, B-38500, B-30295 ($5,277,000), also known as Miami -Dade County GOB Project No.
82-70585; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 06-0321, adopted May 25, 2006, authorized the City Manager to
execute agreements with Miami -Dade County to receive funds on a reimbursement basis, in various
amounts for capital improvement projects funded by the GOB; and
WHEREAS, this Resolution authorizes the City Manager to appropriate the GOB funds in the total
amount of $13,786,000 and authorizes the City Manager to execute any required documentation
related to the receipt and administration of said funds; and
WHEREAS, this item amends the capital improvement projects appropriations Resolution No 05-
0689, adopted November 17, 2005, as amended, to reflect the funds indicated above;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution
are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Resolution No. 05-0689, the Capital Project Appropriations, adopted November 17,
2005, as amended, is amended in the following particulars: {1}

Section 1. The herein appropriations are hereby made for implementation of all municipal
capital improvements of the City of Miami, including new capital improvement projects scheduled to
begin during Fiscal Year 2006. The herein appropriations which are hereby designated by reference
to descriptive project title and number also include appropriations for previously approved scheduled
projects as well as reappropriations for prior funds. The sources of revenues to support the herein
appropriations are hereby identified by fund and project in ten Capital Funds, as follows:

{2} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{3} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
