Subject: Concession Agreement between the city of Miami and Lopetegui's, Inc.
Purpose of Item:
A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, authorizing the City Manager to execute a Concession
Agreement, in substantially the attached form, between the City of Miami, and Lopetegui's, Inc. to maintain the
provision of concession services at the Miami Police Department Headquarters Building, pursuant to the City
Manager's approval of findings of the Evaluation Committee.
Background Information:
' A Request for Letter of Interest (RFLI) No. 03-04-071 was issued on March 22, 2004. Based on the findings of
the Evaluation Committee, the RFLI was awarded to Lopetegui's, Inc. This agreement was never executed, but
Lopetegui's, Inc. has performed its duties pursuant to the proposed agreement. This agreement is effective from
July 18, 2004 through July 18, 2006, with the option to extend for three (3) additional periods of one-year each.
The Department of Police is requesting the City Commission to accept the recommendation of the City
Manager to approve the agreement, retroactively, as of July 18, 2004, along with a one year extension through
July 18, 2007.
