Subject: Bid No. 05-06-050 (Maintenance & Repair Helicopter)
Lt. Borges:
Also, as a reminder to our conversation this past Tuesday, June 27th, you will not be able to deem Roto-Tech non -responsive
because their facility is located in West Palm Beach. Even though you initially submitted with your specifications the requirement
that bidders must have their FAA Repair Stations only within Dade and Broward County, this was changed by me because it was
too restrictive only allowing for one potential bidder to meet this requirement. For that reason, I included West Palm Beach to
allow for potentially three bidders to compete.
The final bid tabulation reflects that the Primary Vendor is Rotor -Tech and the Secondary Vendor is Calv-Air. In the event that
Rotor -Tech can't provide service, you are to send an email to Maritza Suarez indicating the date, time, service required, and
person you spoke to about the requested service and the reason provided an why they can't service you,
She will review the email and provide you with an answer whether you are authorized to move on to the Secondary Vendor.
Respectfully,
Glenn Marcos, CPPO, CPPB, FCPM, FCPA
