HomeMy WebLinkAboutPre-LegislationJ-01-©28 09/25/0.1 RESOLUTION NO. 0 1 - 10 2 `9 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO TAKE ALL STEPS NECESSARY TO INITIATE AND IMPLEMENT THE DEVELOPMENT OF A FIRST-CLASS PARK IN THE LITTLE HAITI AREA FROM NORTHEAST 59T11 TO NORTHEAST 67TN STREETS BETWEEN NORTHEAST 2 A AVENUE AND THE RAILROAD TRACKS, MIAMI., FLORIDA; FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT (7.) THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO CONDUCT ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES, (2) THE LITTLE HAITI NET OFFICE TO PERFORM A DETAILED NEIGHBORHOOD AND USE ASSESSMENT (RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL AND OFFICE), AND (3) THE DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND ZONING TO INITIATE THE LANL) DESIGNATION AND ZONING PROCEEDINGS NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THIS OBJECTIVE. BE I'1' RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA; Section 1. The City Manager is directed to take al]. steps necessary to initiate and implement the development of a first -clans park in the Little Haiti area from Northeast 59" to Northeast 67" Streets, between Northeast 2" Avenue and the railroad tracks, Miami, Florida. Section 2. The City Manager is further directed to instruct (I) the Department of Public Works to conduct CITY COMNIVIVON MEETINGP3 SEP 2 5 2001 Rpaol8HOh No, 01-1029 environmental. studies, (2) the Little Haiti Net Office to perform a detailed neighborhood and use assessment (residential, commercial and office), and (3) the Department of Planning and Zoning to initiate the ]and designation and zoning proceedings necessary to accomplish this objective.
