• The percentage of people with bachelors and/or
graduate/professional degrees in the DDA area (31%)
is almost double that of the City of Miami (16%).
• The DDA area has a proportionately larger number of
residents of work force age (65.7%) when compared to
48.9% for the City and 50.1% for the County.
• Conversely, the DDA area has the smallest percenage of
residents in and/or close to retirement age (20.5%) when
compared to 26.9% to the City and 22.5% for the County.
• The purchasing power of DDA area residents increased by
an average of 27.5% to $62,600 - which is, incidentally, the
highest average salary when compared to that of Miami -
Dade County and the City of Miami.
