Dear Mayor Diaz:
Our organization is writing you toady in support of a proposed R/E
residential/retail development [Intown Residences) located on theSW 8th
Street corridor, between SW 19 and 20th Ave. The project will consist of
mixed use development, which will becomprised of 18,000 sq ft. of ground
floor retail space and a total of 323 residential units. Subject development
will positively impact the area, by creating economical benefits, such as, the
creation of new jobs during the development and thereafter, and
establishing a substantially increased tax base for the developed site.
Local residents will benefit from the addition of new housing for the
area, and increased services, via the addition of much needed retail and
service companies occupying the retail component of this project. Also, said
development will have a positive impact in the beautification and
revitalization of the SW 8th Street corridor.
As such, the development of Intown Residences will positively serve the
needs of thelocal residential and business community, and should be fully
supported.
