Opposition's Concerns
o At their own expense, Camillus House will hire additional
security during daytime hours to secure the areas between
15th and 20th streets, and between 7th Avenue and 1-95.
Security will work collaboratively with the City of Miami's
Outreach Program to pick up loiterers.
If loiterer refuses, the police can and will arrest under
City Ordinance.
Will also work in conjunction with MDPS Police, who
already secure a 1,000 foot radius surrounding the school
(radius can be amplified at the discretion of the area
supervisor)
o Concerns regarding sexual predators will be combated
through loitering policies.
