The City issued Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 05-06-077 for the provision of
Geotechnical and Construction Material Testing. The proposals were evaluated utilizing a
two part process to select the most qualified firm.
Proposals were received on the advertised due date, June 21, 2006, from the following five
firms:
1. Ardaman & Associates
2. Geosol, Inc.
3. Intercounty Laboratories-USL, Inc.
4. MACTEC Engineering & Consulting
5. Professional Services Industries (P.S.I.)
The Committee met on June 26, 2006 to discuss all of the proposals and invited all five firms to
give presentations on June 28, 2006. Immediately following the presentations on June 28th, the
Department of Capital Improvements and Transportation and the City Attorney determined that
Intercounty Laboratories was not responsive and therefore their submittal was not further
considered.
The Committee deliberated and ranked the firms as follows:
1. MACTEC Engineering & Consulting
2. Ardaman & Associates
3. Professional Services Industries (P.S.I.)
Please find attached a short synopsis of each firm's presentation as well as the evaluation forms
we completed after our deliberations.
