IT IS ALSO RECOMMENDED THE BOARD AWARD THE BIDS TO THE FOLLOWING VENDORS FOR REQUIREMENTS OF VEHICLES, MEDIUM AND HEAVY DUTY: • RING POWER CORPORATION, RIVERVIEW, FLORIDA, ITEM 1, ITEM 9 $257,573.11 • FREIGHTLINER OF TAMPA LLC, TAMPA, FLORIDA, ITEM 2, ITEM 4, ITEM 5, ITEM 7, ITEM 8, $578,375.00 • PAT'S PUMP AND BLOWER, L.L.C., ORLANDO, FLORIDA, ITEM 10 $943,788.00 • VACMASTERS OF DENVER, A DIVISION OF BARONE, INC., ARVADA, COLORADO, ITEM 11 $132,607.00 TOTAL AMOUNT OF AWARD FOR ALL VENDORS: $1,912,323.11 Revised 07-18-03 Page 1 of 2 The Purchasing Department, on behalf of General Services/Fleet Management, released bids for annual requirements of Vehicles, Medium and Heavy Duty on January 13, 2006. The vehicles contained in the bid are replacements for vehicles that have reached the end of their useful economic life. The factors utilized to determine the end of useful economic life Include, but are not limited to: age, mileage/hours, historical cost compared to other units within a specific class, operating cost per mile/hour, anticipated repair and physical condition. • Item 1 is a replacement for unit 75186 for the Culture, Education and Leisure Department • Item 2 Is a replacement for unit 74393 for the Culture, Education and Leisure Department • Item 3 will not be awarded due to change of bid specifications • Item 4 is a replacement for unit 83802 for the Public Works Highway Department • Item 5 is a replacement for unit 83786 for the Public Works Highway Department • Item 6 will not be awarded due to change of bid specifications • Item 7 Is a replacement for unit 55261 for the Culture, Education and Leisure Department • Item 8 is a replacement for unit 75215 for the Culture, Education and Leisure Department • Item 9 is a replacement for unit 75190 for the Culture, Education and Leisure Department • Item 10 is a replacement for unit 70438 for the Utilities Department and replacements for items 90971, 95512 and 95513 for the Public Works Highway Department • Item 11 is a replacement for unit 87223 for Public Works Department Please see attached bld tabulation for description of vehicles contained in the bid document. Flscalimoact/CostlRevenue Summary: Funding for all items (except one unit in item 10) will be provided through the Pinellas County Vehicle Replacement Plan.
