Subject: Resolution Authorizing a Maintenance Agreement with Fundacion Pro Integracion
Dominicana, Inc, for use of the plaza at Juan Pablo Duarte Park.
Purpose of Item:
A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a maintenance agreement with Fundacion Pro
Integracion Dominicana, Inc. which authorizes the organization to use the plaza space in front of the
pavillion at Juan Pablo Duarte Park to install and maintain commemorative brass plates or head busts
in honor of community leaders which is to be provided and maintained at the expense of the
organization.
Background Information:
The Department of Parks and Recreation recommends that the City of Miami execute a maintenance
agreement with Fundacion Pro Integracion Dominicana, Inc. who will be responsible for the
installation and maintenance of future commemorative plates and or other head busts of the
community leaders of their choice, subject to approval by the city, which will be located in the plaza
area in front of the exisiting pavillion at Juan Pablo Duarte Park. This request has been made by the
organization with the understanding that all funds for the installation and maintenance of the plaques
and area are to be provided by the organization.
