Purpose of Item: To authorize the City Manager to execute an Amendment to the existing agreement between the City and the Florida Department of Transportation, for NE 2 Avenue (FDOT Project number 251688-2-52- 01) to authorize an increased value of $26,144.65 from $264,525.00 to $290,669.65. Background Information: On December 15, 2005, the City Commission adopted Resolution R-05-0719 approving a locally funded Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to construct streetscape improvements along NE 2nd Ave. from NE 13th Street to NE 14th Street as part of CIP Project B-30361 "PAC Super Block Streetscape". FDOT hasan existing construction project to widen and resurface the existing lanes on NE 2" Ave. from NE 1111` Street to NE 14th Street. The JPA and MOA allocated funds from the Community Redevelopment Agency Omni Tax Increment Fund, entitled "Construction in Progress", to cover the cost of additional work along NE 2nd Avenue from NE 13th Street to NE 14th Street in an amount originally not to exceed $264,525.00. Additional work now proposed includes upgrading the sidewalks to shell stone pavers and adding landscaping and premium lighting to match the PAC Super Block Streetscape treatment. The accepted bid amount plus allowances exceeds the original estimate by $26,144.65, which is being requested in this amendment. Budget Impact Analysis NO Is this item related to revenue?
