Subject: Increase contract for additional barricade rental.
Purpose of Item:
A Resolution of the Miami City Commission authorizing an increase in the contract pursuant to
Resolution No. 04-0392, adopted on June 24, 2004, further amended by Resolution No. 05-0115,
adopted February 24, 2005, for additional barricade rental, for the Department of Police, in an amount
not to exceed $8,452.30, increasing contract from $30,000 to $38,452.30 annually.
Background Information:
The Department of Police requires an increase to cover additional barricades that were provided to
restrict pedestrian and vehicle traffic for the 2005 MTV Video Awards. The $8,452.30 is the cost of
providing 650 French Barricades (Type II Barricades) including delivery and set up, under Bid
Contract No. 03-04-084.
