HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.ci.miami.fl.us File Number: 06-00977 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF ATTORNEY'S FEES, IN AN AMOUNT OF $50,000, PLUS COSTS TO BE APPROVED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR THE CONTINUED ENGAGEMENT OF THE LAW FIRM OF BERGER SINGERMAN, P.A., FOR REPRESENTATION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI IN ALL MATTERS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LITIGATION AND BANKRUPTCY, RELATED TO THE WYNWOOD COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, INC., CASE NO. 05-15867-AJC; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE SELF-INSURANCE AND INSURANCE TRUST FUND, INDEX CODE NO. 515001.624401.6.661. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The expenditure of attorney's fees in an amount of $50,000, plus costs to be approved by the City Attorney, for the continued engagement of the law firm of Berger Singerman, P.A., for representation of the City of Miami in all matters, including but not limited to litigation and bankruptcy, related to the Wynwood Community Economic Development Corporation, Inc., Case No. 05-158-AJC, is authorized, with funds allocated from the Self -Insurance and Insurance Trust Fund, Index Code No. Account No. 515001.624401.6.661. Section 2.
