Subject: Resolution Establishing New Special Revenue Fund for Fiscal Year 2005-2006 for the City's
Child Day Food Care Program Funded by the United States Department of Agriculture in the Parks
Department not to exceed $72,000 from the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Child Nutrition
Programs Entitlement Funding on a reimbursement basis.
Purpose of Item:
Resolution Authorizing the establishment of a new Special Revenue Fund for Fiscal Year 2005-2006
entitled "Child Day Care Food Program" and appropriating funds, in the estimated amount of $72,000
consisting of entitlement funding on a reimbursement basis from the Florida Department of Health
Bureau of Child Nutrition Programs Child Care Food Program funded by the United States
Department of Agriculture, authorizing the City Manager to execute the necessary documents, in
substantially the attached form, for the operations of the year-round food service program for
preschool -aged children in our city parks.
Background Information:
The Department of Parks and Recreation has applied for and obtained Entitlement funding on a
reimbursement basis from the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Child Nutrition Programs
Child Care Food Program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture for Fiscal Year
2005-2006, in the estimated amount of $72,000, to help fund the preschool -aged children's after
school program operating in our city parks. This resolution establishes a special revenue funds,
appropriates the funds, and authorizes the City Manager to execute the necessary documents to accept
the entitlement funding on a reimbursement basis.
