AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF 32ND PROGRAM YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,900,000, IN THE ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT CATEGORY, TO THE AGENCIES SPECIFIED IN "ATTACHMENT A," ATTACHED
AND INCORPORATED, FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES IN THE 32ND PROGRAM
YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2006; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
AGREEMENT(S), IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM(S), WITH SAID AGENCIES, FOR
SAID PURPOSE
Background Information:
Federal regulations require the City of Miami ("City") to provide an opportunity for citizen participation
in the planning process for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("U.S.
HUD") related grant activities
A series of public hearings were held in each City Commission District to solicit public participation in
the planning process for each District's U.S. HUD related grant activities
Public hearings were duly advertised to provide public notice regarding the proposed use for said
grants
The City solicited proposals from agencies providing activities to City residents through a Request for
Proposals process
