A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE POLICY AND
PROCEDURES AGREEMENT OF THE ECIVIS GRANTS LOCATOR SERVICE, IN
SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, WITH THE FOLLOWING SIXTEEN
(16) COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATIONS ("CBOS"): ALLAPATTAH YMCA;
MIAMI BETHANY COMMUNITY SERVICES; RESIDENTIAL PLAZA AT BLUE
LAGOON; COCONUT GROVE CARES, INC./THE BARNYARD; ASSOCIATION
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE EXCEPTIONAL; GREATER ST. PAUL
AFRICAN METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH; REGIS HOUSE; CASABLANCA
CHRISTIAN CENTER; CITIZENS FOR A BETTER SOUTH FLORIDA; PRINCE OF
PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH; IGLESIA BAUTISTA RESSURRECCION; HOPE
RELIEF FOOD BANK; HOSANNA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, INC.; POLICE
ATHLETIC LEAGUE/DO THE RIGHT THING; MIAMI HOMELESS ASSISTANCE
PROGRAM AND THE MIAMI/MIAMI-DADE COUNTY WEED & SEED, TO BE
USED ON AN AS -NEEDED BASIS, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE SAID CBOS ACCESS
TO SAID GRANTS LOCATOR PROGRAM, FOR A BASE TERM OF A ONE-YEAR
PERIOD, WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE (1)
YEAR PERIODS, AT NO COST TO THE CBOS, CONTINGENT UPON THE CITY'S
CONTINUED AGREEMENT WITH THE ECIVIS GRANTS LOCATOR SERVICE;
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE ADDITION OF QUALIFIED CBOS TO THE
CONTRACT WHEN DEEMED IN THE CITY OF MIAMI'S BEST INTERESTS BY
THE CITY MANAGER WITHOUT FURTHER CITY COMMISSION
AUTHORIZATION.
Final Action Date:
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 05-0627, adopted November 3, 2005, the City of Miami
("City") sought and approved the acquisition of internet access to the e-Civis Grants Locator Service,
software and databases, for the Office of Grants Administration; and
WHEREAS, the eCivis Grants Locator Service allows users to identify funding sources that will
improve the quality of life for those who live, work and visit the City; and
WHEREAS, sixteen (16) organizations were deemed qualified by the City to use said grants
locator service and are as listed herein: Allapattah YMCA; Miami Bethany Community Services;
Residential Plaza At Blue Lagoon; Coconut Grove Cares, Inc./The Barnyard; Association For The
Development Of The Exceptional; Greater St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church; Regis House;
Casablanca Christian Center; Citizens For A Better South Florida; Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church;
Iglesia Bautista Ressurreccion; Hope Relief Food Bank; Hosanna Community Foundation, Inc.; Police
Athletic League/Do The Right Thing; Miami Homeless Assistance Program and the Miami/Miami-Dade
County Weed & Seed (collectively the "16 CBOs"); and
WHEREAS;the City Manager reserves the right to add additional qualified Community Based
Organizations ("CBOs") to the agreement at any time should it be in the City's best interests without

any further City Commission action;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the Policy and Procedures Agreement
("Agreement") of the eCivis Grants Locator Service, in substantially the attached form, with the 16
CBOs, to be used on an as -needed basis, in order to provide said CBOs access to said grants locator
program, for a base term of a one-year period, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1)
year periods, at no cost to the CBOs, contingent upon the City's continued agreement with the e-Civis
Grants Locator Service.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to add qualified CBOs to the Agreement when deemed
in the City's best interests without further City Commission authorization.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.(2)

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
