Purpose of Item: Authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Miami Dade College (MDC) to implement and oversee construction of street improvements on N.E. 4th Street between Biscayne Boulevard and N.E. 2nd Avenue. Background Information: MDC received Florida Department of Transportation funding for street improvements for the Metromover Bayside Promenade at N.E. 4th Street between N.E. 2nd Avenue and Biscayne Blvd by the Wolfson Campus of MDC in Downtown Miami. MDC requested and the CITY agreed to implement the street improvements on their behalf. Additionally, the CITY will provide $185,000 in funding for the project.
