Conway, P.E., Director Capital Improvements & Transportation 61 li= Medina, Assistant Transportation CoordinatofENCLosuREs: Capital Improvements & Transportation DATE: SUBJECT: April 27, 2006 FILE : Evaluation Committee Recommendation For RFQ 05-06-038 Miami Streetcar Topographical Survey Services REFERENCES The City issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ), No. 05-06-038 for the provision of Topographical Survey Services for the City of Miami Streetcar Project. The proposals were evaluated utilizing a two part process to select the most qualified firm. The first part was to evaluate the firms based on their qualifications to provide comprehensive surveying services. Based on our discussion at our first meeting, as a Committee we decided to invite the most qualified four (4) firms listed below to give presentations at a second meeting on April 27, 2006. 1. ConsulTech Surveying & Mapping, Inc. 2. Craig A. Smith & Associates 3. Manuel G. Vera & Associates 4. Marlin Engineering, Inc. Following the presentations provided on April 27th, the Committee discussed the firms and determined our preferred ranking. We recommend that the City enter into negotiations with the firms as ranked below. 1. Manuel G. Vera & Associates 2. Marlin Engineering, Inc. 3. Craig A. Smith & Associates 4. Consultech Surveying & Mapping, Inc.
