A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
GRANTING AN EXTENSION, UNTIL JUNE 2, 2006, TO RAFAEL HERNANDEZ
HOUSING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TO CONSTRUCT
AND SELL ONE (1) NEW SINGLE FAMILY HOME AT 3290 NORTHWEST 9 COURT,
MIAMI, FLORIDA, TO A QUALIFIED LOW/MODERATE INCOME FAMILY; STATING
THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION RELATED TO THE CONVEYANCE
OF TITLE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY
DOCUMENT(S) FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, Rafael Hernandez Housing and Economic Development Corporation ("RHHED")
was designated by the Miami City Commission to construct single family homes on certain parcels,
formerly owned by the City of Miami ("City"), in the Allapattah neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, RHHED has completed and sold the single-family homes located at 3453
Northwest 11 Court, 788 Northwest 35 Street, 229 Northwest 30 Street and 3300 Northwest 9 Court,
Miami, Florida; and
WHEREAS, due to delays in the permitting process, the last home, located at 3290 Northwest
9 Court, Miami, Florida, has not been completed; and
WHEREAS, RHHED has requested an extension to June 2, 2006 of the deadline to complete the
construction and sale of such home; and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the construction loan to RHHED will remain the
same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. An extension to June 2, 2006, for RHHED to complete construction and sale to a
qualified low/moderate income family, of the new single family home located at 3290 Northwest 9
Court, Miami, Florida, is authorized.
Section 3. It is in the intention of the City Commission that title to the parcels conveyed by the City
to RHHED, described in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, shall be deemed to have remained in
RHHED from the date of conveyance, that the extension of time granted herein shall be deemed to
have been made on or before December 31, 2004, and that the extension of time granted herein
shall be deemed to apply to the construction and sale of all such parcels.

Section 4. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute all necessary documents for said
purpose.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}
Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
