("BETTER WAY") FOR EMERGENCY SHELTER AND TRANSITIONAL HOUSING OPERATING COSTS AT THE BETTER WAY FACILITY LOCATED AT 675 NW 17 STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA Background Information: Pursuant to Resolution Number 04-0708, adopted on October 28, 2004, the City Commission approved the transfer of ESG funds, the amount of $140'I 56 3 , to the City of Miami Homeless Program for the provision of essential services 0" 9 Said funds could not be used for said purpose Better Way of Miami, Inc. provides shelter, residential care, treatment, and housing services on a continuum to indigent, homeless and addicted persons and their families in the City of Miami area Better Way provides said services at 675 NW 17 Street, Miami, Florida The administration is requesting the transfer of Emergency Shelter Grant ("ESG") funds, in the amount of $146, 3Q.76, to Better Way of Miami, Inc. Said funds will be utilized for emergency shelter and transitional housing operating costs including but not limited to: maintenance, operation, repair, furnishings, insurance, utilities and security Budget Impact Analysis Is this item related to revenue?
