A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION APPROVING THE
CONTRACT FOR RED CLAY AND SILICA SAND FROM SOIL TECH
DISTRIBUTORS, INC., PURSUANT TO SOUTHEAST FLORIDA GOVERNMENTAL
PURCHASING COOPERATIVE BID NO. 562-9333, EFFECTIVE THROUGH
JANUARY 24, 2007, WITH THE OPTION TO EXTEND FOR 'FOUR (4)
ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR PERIODS, SUBJECT TO ANY FURTHER
EXTENSIONS OR REPLACEMENT CONTRACTS BY THE SOUTHEAST-FLORIDA
GOVERNMENTAL PURCHASING COOPERATIVE GROUP; ALLOCATING FUNDS
FROM THE GENERAL OPERATING BUDGETS AND GRANTS OF THE VARIOUS
USER DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES; AUTHORIZING SAID PURCHASES, ON
AN AS -NEEDED BASIS, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND
BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF NEED.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The contract for red clay and silica sand, from Soil Tech Distributors, Inc. , pursuant to
Southeast Florida Governmental Purchasing Cooperative Bid No. 562-9333, effective through January
24, 2007 with the option to extend for four (4) additional one (1) year periods, subject to any further
extensions or replacement contracts by the Southeast Florida Governmental Purchasing Cooperative
Group, is approved, with funds allocated from the general operating budgets and grants of the various
user departments and agencies.
Section 2. Said purchases, are authorized, on an as -needed basis, subject to the availability of
funds and budgetary approval at the time of need.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
