A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILLIAMS PAVING COMPANY, INC., FOR THE
PROJECT ENTITLED "ROAD REHABILITATION PROJECT, B-4654," IN THE
PROPOSED AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,194,491.50; ALLOCATING
FUNDS FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT ("CIP'') NO, 313855
ENTITLED "OCTOBER 2000 FLOOD RECOVERY" IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $1,194,491.50, FOR CONTRACT COSTS, PLUS $58,890 FOR
ESTIMATED EXPENSES TO BE INCURRED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY"),
FOR TOTAL PROJECT COSTS, IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$1,253,381.50, AS SET FORTH ON THE FORMAL BID DOCUMENT AND THE
PROJECT FACT SHEET, ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY
THE ATTACHED FORM, FOR SAID PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the Administration has received bids for construction services for the project
"Road Rehabilitation Project, B-4654," pursuant to formal invitation for bids dated November 26,
•2003; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to execute an Agreement, In substantially the attached form, for
said project; and
WHEREAS, Williams Paving Company, Inc., is a non -minority controlled corporation, located
within Miami -Dade County and is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in the amount of
$1,194,491.50; and
WHEREAS, funds, in the amount of 51,194,491.50, to cover the contract costs plus $68,890
for estimated expenses to be incurred by the City of Miami ("City") for total project costs not to
exceed $1,253,381.50 are available from Capital Improvements Project ("CIP") No. 313866,
entitled "October 2000 Flood Recovery;"
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and Incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section,
Section 2. The bid of Williams Paving Company, Inc., for the protect entitled "Road
Rehabilitation Project, B-4654," in the proposed amount not to exceed $1,194,491.50, is accepted,

Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute an Agreement, in substantially the
attached form, for said project.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{2}

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, Including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{1) If the Mayor does not sign thls Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
