HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.ci.miami.fl.us File Number: 06-00451 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION CODESIGNATING SOUTHWEST 36TH AVENUE FROM SOUTHWEST 8 STREET TO SOUTHWEST 11TH STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS "SPECIAL AGENT OCTAVIO GONZALEZ AVENUE;" FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO TRANSMIT A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE HEREIN DESIGNATED OFFICES. WHEREAS, pursuant to the City Commission directive, the Miami Street Codesignation Review Committee, at its meeting of March 6, 2006, reviewed and recommended the proposal for street codesignation of Southwest 36th Avenue from Southwest 8th Street to Southwest 11th Street, Miami, Florida, as "Special Agent Octavio Gonzalez Avenue;" NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Southwest 36th Avenue from Southwest 8th Street to Southwest 11th Street, Miami, Florida, is codesignated as "Special Agent Octavio Gonzalez Avenue." Section 3. The City Manager is directed to instruct the Director of Public Works to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Departments of Police, Fire -Rescue, Solid Waste, Miami -Dade County Public Works and the United States Postal Service. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: ORGE FE`NANDEZ CITY ' OR EY Footnotes: (1) If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
