JUSTIFICATION:
The removal and installation of existing Mobile Digital Computers (MDC) is necessary to
remove MDC's from old, out of service police vehicles and install into new police vehicles.
HOW IS THIS ITEM GOING TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF SERVICE TO THE
CUSTOMER / CITIZENS?
This purchase will provide access to the Florida Criminal Information and the National Criminal
Information Center thus reducing the radio traffic and workload of dispatchers and the timely
entry of police reports by patrol officers.

Four responses were received pursuant to Bid No. 05-06-023. Emergency Vehicle Supply
submitted the most lowest responsive and responsible bid, at a first year annual amount of
$36,000 and at an annual amount of $17,625 for years thereafter.
