A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION APPROVING THE
ACQUISITION OF KRONOS WORKFORCE CENTRAL LICENSES, HARDWARE,
TRAINING, SUPPORT SERVICES, SOFTWARE UPGRADES AND MAINTENANCE
SERVICES FROM IMMIXTECHNOLOGY, INC., ON AN AS -NEEDED BASIS, UNDER
EXISTING FEDERAL GSA SCHEDULE 70, CONTRACT NO. GS-35F-0330J,
EFFECTIVE UNTIL MARCH 26, 2009, SUBJECT TO FURTHER EXTENSIONS OR
REPLACEMENT CONTRACTS, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005-2006 IN A TOTAL
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $85,000, WITH AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$50,000, FOR MAINTENANCE COSTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005-2006, WITH
YEARLY MAINTENANCE COST INCREASES NOT TO EXCEED 4% PER YEAR
THEREAFTER, AND WITH AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $35,000, FOR
LICENSES, HARDWARE, TRAINING, SUPPORT SERVICES, AND SOFTWARE
UPGRADES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005-2006; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE
GENERAL OPERATING BUDGET OF THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 001000.460101.6.670 AND INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY STRATEGIC FUNDS; ALLOCATING FUNDS FOR FUTURE FISCAL
YEAR PURCHASES, FROM THE OPERATING BUDGETS OF VARIOUS
DEPARTMENTS, VARIOUS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ACCOUNTS,
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STRATEGIC FUNDS, AND THE GENERAL
OPERATING BUDGET, SUBJECT ONLY TO BUDGETARY APPROVAL.
WHEREAS, the Kronos Workforce Central Suite ("Kronos Suite") is an enterprise solution with the
ability to automate the collection of time and attendance data and apply standardized pay rules,
automatically and consistently across the entire organization; and
WHEREAS, the Kronos Suite interfaces with the City of Miami's ("City") payroll in a bi-directional
interface, a step that saves considerable time and effort in more accurate paychecks for employees;
and
WHEREAS, the Kronos Suite's flexibility in various data collection methods, phone, internet, and
biometric finger id, allows for each City Department to choose the method that best suits their needs;
and
WHEREAS, the Kronos Suite is an integral component of the City's Enterprise Planning strategic
initiative;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.

Section 2.The acquisition of Kronos Workforce Central licenses, hardware, training, support
services, software upgrades and maintenance services from ImmixTechnology, Inc., on an as -needed
basis, under existing federal GSA Schedule 70, Contract No. GS-35F-0330J, effective through March
26, 2009, subject to further extensions or replacement contracts, is approved, for Fiscal Year 2005-
2006 in a total amount not to exceed $85,000, with an amount not to exceed $50,000, for
maintenance for Fiscal Year 2005-2006, with yearly maintenance cost increases not to exceed 4%
per year thereafter, and with an amount not to exceed $35,000, for licenses, hardware, training,
support services, and software upgrades for Fiscal Year 2005-2006, is authorized, with funds
allocated from the General Operating Budget of the Department of Information Technology, Account
Code 001000.460101.6.670 and the Information Technology Strategic Funds.
Section 3. Funds for future Fiscal Year purchases are allocated from the various departments,
various Capital Improvement Project Accounts, Information Technology Strategic Funds, and the
General Operating Budget, subject only to budgetary approval.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
