HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-06-0185City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-06-0185 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 06-00273 Final Action Date: 3/23/2006 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AMENDING THE BUDGET OF THE MODEL CITY COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION DISTRICT TRUST ("MODEL CITY TRUST"), TO INCLUDE AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,242,000, THAT REPRESENTS THE PROCEEDS OF PROPERTY SALES THAT ARE SCHEDULED TO OCCUR IN FISCAL YEAR 2006, FOR HOUSING DEVELOPED BY THE MODEL CITY TRUST. WHEREAS, the Model City Community Revitalization District ("Model City Trust") has developed several homes and these homes have sold or are expected to be sold during Fiscal Year 2006; and WHEREAS, funds are necessary to continue the redevelopment efforts with which the Model City Trust is charged; and WHEREAS, funds are often constrained by the rules of program income and, thus, must be carefully tracked to honor the obligations of the grants; and WHEREAS, funds have been received in some instances, though are not available until they are lawfully appropriated by the City Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Model City Trust's budget is amended, as described in "Exhibit A," attached and incorporated, to include an appropriation for an amount not to exceed $2,242,000, that represents the proceeds of property sales that are scheduled to occur in Fiscal Year 2006, for housing developed by the Model City Trust. Section 3.
