NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on March, 23, 2006 to consider
the award of a contract, in the amount of $21,380, to Citizens for a Better South Florida,
a Florida not -for -profit corporation (CFABSF), for the provision of environmental clean-
up, education, native plant reforestation and other activities associated with the
maintenance of Virginia Key Park as a result of a Community Stewardship matching
grant from the state Department of Environmental Protection administered by NOAA
federal funds and to consider the City Manager's recommendation and finding that
competitive negotiation methods are not practicable or advantageous regarding these

This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-86(a)(3)(c) (services related to
educational services and activities provided by non-profit organizations within city parks)
of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida as amended. The recommendation and finding
to be considered in this matter are set forth in the proposed resolution and in this Code
Section, which are deemed to be incorporated by reference herein and are available as
public records from the City of Miami. The Public Hearing will be held in conjunction
with the regularly scheduled City Commission meeting of March 23, 2006, at 9:00 a.m.,
at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida. All interested individuals
are invited to attend this hearing and may comment on the proposed issue. Should any
person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter
considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the
proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be
based.
