VACATION AND CLOSURE OF AN ALLEY LOCATED WEST OF NW
47thAVENUE, SOUTH OF NW 7th STREET.
Pursuant to Section 55-15 (c) of the Miami City Code, the Planning and Zoning Department
has reviewed the proposed right-of-way vacation to determine whether it is in the public
interest, or whether the general public would benefit from the vacation of the right-of-way.
The following findings have been made:
• It is found that the proposed alley to be vacated is located within a C-1 "Restricted
Commercial" zoning designation. It is also found that as part of this plat, the applicant is
dedicating a more useful alley that will better served the Solid Waste Department and the
emergency vehicles.
• It is found that the vacation of the alley is required to complete the multifamily
residential project more specifically known as, "Las Brisas de Varadero".
• It is found that the proposed vacation of the right of way is therefore in the public
interest.
Based on these findings, the Planning Department recommends approval of the
request.
