Purpose of Item:
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT A QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM CITY OF
MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF OFF- STREET PARKING TO THE CITY OF MIAMI, FOR THE
CONVEYANCE OF THE PARCELS OF LAND LOCATED AT 1630 NORTHWEST 58
TERRACE, MIAMI, FLORIDA AND 1620 NORTHWEST 58 STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS
LEGALLY DESCRIBED IN "EXHIBIT A; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
CONVEY, WITH PARCEL REVERTER PROVISIONS, SAID PARCELS OF LAND TO
PALMETTO HOMES OF MIAMI, INC., FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFFORDABLE
HOUSING FOR LOW TO MODERATE INCOME PERSONS;
Background Information:
• Off -Street is the current owner of the parcels of land located at 1630 Northwest 58 Terrace, Miami,
Florida and 1620 Northwest 58 Street, Miami, Florida ("Properties");
• Off -Street has agreed to release the Properties to the City of Miami ("City") for the development of
affordable housing;
• There is a pressing need for decent, affordable housing in the City;
• The City will convey, with parcel reverter provisions, the Properties to Palmetto for the
development of affordable housing;
• Palmetto will have 18 months from the date of land conveyance to complete the construction
