A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 05-0459, ADOPTED JULY 28, 2005, RELATING TO THE JOINT
PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION, FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI STREETCAR, CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. B-71215, FOR ALTERNATIVES ANALYSIS,
ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENTATION, PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING AND
PROGRAM/PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH THE
INITIAL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE "CITY OF MIAMI INITIAL STREETCAR
CORRIDOR FEASIBILITY STUDY," TO CORRECT THE CONTRIBUTION OF
STATE FUNDS FROM AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,790,000 TO AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $3,700,000,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 05-0459, adopted July 28, 2005, the City Commission
approved the execution of a Joint Participation Agreement ("JPA") with the Florida Department of
Transportation ("State") for the City of Miami Streetcar, Capital improvement Project No. B-71215, for
alternatives analysis, environmental documentation, preliminary engineering and program/project
management services associated with the initial implementation of the "City of Miami Initial Streetcar
Corridor Feasibility Study" ("Study"); and
WHEREAS, the Study defines the City of Miami Streetcar Project ("Project") as a modern electric
streetcar transit service, on rail and at grade, within the existing roadway along a 6.75 mile round trip
loop between Downtown Miami and the Miami Design District that will be an urban circulator linking the
redeveloping neighborhoods with Metrorail and Metromover and other connections in future phases of
the Project; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution provided authorization to execute the JPA with the State and listed the
incorrect not to exceed amount to be contributed by the State in the total amount not to exceed
$2,790,000; and
WHEREAS, the State will be contributing $3,700,000, which is $910,000 more than the amount
previously approved pursuant to said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and appropriate to correct the total funds to be contributed by the State;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORI DA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings found in the Preamble of this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2, Resolution No. 05-0459, adopted July 28, 2005, relating to the JPA with the State, for
the Project, Capital Improvement Project No. B-71215, for alternatives analysis, environmental
documentation, preliminary engineering and program/project management services associated with the

initial implementation of the "City of Miami Initial Streetcar Corridor Feasibility Study," is amended in
the following particulars: {1}

Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute a JPA, in substantially the
attached form, with the FDOT, for the Project, Capital Improvement Project No. 341330,
B-71215, which provides for contribution of State funds in the total amount not to exceed
$277-90 0OB $3,700,000, for the initial implementation of the Study.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {2}
