HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.ci.miami.fl.us File Number: 06-00165 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN THE CONTRACT AWARDED TO A+ MINI STORAGE, APPROVED PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 02-140, ADOPTED FEBRUARY 14, 2002, AMENDED PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 04-0060, ADOPTED FEBRUARY 12, 2004, FURTHER AMENDED PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 05-0062, ADOPTED JANUARY 27, 2005, FOR ADDITIONAL STORAGE NEEDS, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE, IN AN ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $23,000, INCREASING THE TOTAL ANNUAL CONTRACT AMOUNT FROM $60,000 TO $83,000, ANNUALLY; ALLOCATING FUNDS, FOR SAID INCREASE, FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE GENERAL OPERATING BUDGET ACCOUNT CODE NO. 001000.290201.6.610; AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 05-0062 TO REFLECT SAID INCREASE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. An increase in the contract awarded to A+ Mini Storage, pursuant to Resolution No. 02- 140, adopted February 14, 2002, amended pursuant to Resolution No. 04-0060, adopted February 12, 2004, further amended pursuant to Resolution No. 05-0062, adopted January 27, 2005, in an annual amount not to exceed $23,000, increasing the total annual contract from $60,000 to $83,000, for additional storage needs, for the Department of Police, is authorized. Section 2. Resolution No. 05-0062 is amended in the following particulars:{1} "Resolution No. 05-0062 2 * Section 2 . The bid of A+ Mini Storage, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder pursuant to Invitation for Bids No. 00-01-263R, dated August 29, 2001, for the acauisition of a secured, air-conditioned self -storage facility for the storage of records, miscellaneous equipment and supplies, for the Department of Police, on a contract basis, for a period of two years, with the option to renew for three additional one-year City of Miami Page 1 of 2 Printed On: 2/14/2006 File Number: 08-00165 periods, in an annual amount not to exceed $6O;0O0-$83,000, is accepted, with funds allocated from the Police General Operating Budget, Account Code 001000.290201.6.610. * *II Section 3. Funds for said increase are allocated from the Department of Police General Operating Budget, Account Code No. 001000.290201.6.610. Section 4. The Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JORGE L. The remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. Asterisks indicated omitted and unchanged material. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
