Subject: Qrdjgance}lendingCode-Chapter 53-"Subilivision Regulation(' allowing the native plat

Purpose of Item:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Ordinance amending
Chapter 55 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, entitled, "Subdivision Regulations" by
amending Section 55-7, entitled "Same —Conference and tentative plat".
Background Information:
Currently the maximum period allowed for property owners to obtain final approval of a plat is one
year from approval of the tentative plat. Should the plat not be presented to Commission for
acceptance within that period, the property owner must reapply and begin the process again. The
normal p c i time for a plat is nine to twelve months. Providing for a tentative plat approval
period of h718) months, instead of the current approval period of one year, will provide property
owners additional time to submit pending items plats for City commission action.
