The full name of Rev. Father Mekras was incorrectly inverted. It should have been written as "Rev. Father Demosthenes John Mekras." The Resolution has been modified to reflect this correction in the title and in the body of said Resolution. FATHER DEMOSTHENES JOHN MEKRAS WAY;" FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO TRANSMIT A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE HEREIN DESIGNATED OFFICES. WHEREAS, pursuant to the City Commission directive, the Miami Street Codesignation Review Committee, at its meeting of January 6, 2006, reviewed and recommended the proposal for street codesignation of Southwest 24th Road from Southwest 1st Avenue to Southwest 3rd Avenue, Miami, Florida, as "Rev. Father Demosthenes John Mekras Way;" NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Southwest 24th Road from Southwest 1st Avenue to Southwest 3rd Avenue, Miami, Florida, is codesignated as "Rev. Father Demosthenes John Mekras Way." Section 3. The City Manager is directed to instruct the Director of Public Works to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Departments of Police, Fire -Rescue, Solid Waste, Miami -Dade County Public Works and the United States Postal Service. Section 4.
