A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE FUND ENTITLED: "HOMELESS
PROGRAM DONATIONS 2005" AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $13,500, CONSISTING OF AN AWARD RECEIVED FROM MIAMI-DADE
COUNTY THROUGH THE MIAMI-DADE HOMELESS TRUST, FOR THE
PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE POSITION OF FEEDING COORDINATOR TO THE
HOMELESS STREET FEEDING PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM,
TO IMPLEMENT ACCEPTANCE OF SAID AWARD.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Homeless Assistance Program ("Program") provides outreach
assessment, information and referral services to the homeless citizens of the City of Miami
("City"); and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to continue a feeding program for the homeless in the Downtown
Miami area ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, Miami -Dade County through the Miami -Dade County Homeless Trust has
awarded funds in the amount of $13,500, to the Program to partially fund the position of the
coordinator of the Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2, The following new Special Revenue Fund is established and resources are
appropriated as described herein:
FUND TITLE: Homeless Program Donations 2005
RESOURCES: Miami -Dade Homeless Trust $13,500
APPROPRIATION: Funding the position of Project Feeding Coordinator $13,500
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute an Agreement, in substantially the
attached form, to implement acceptance of said award.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed
by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code
provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted, If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
