HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-06-0048City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-06-0048 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 05-01433 Final Action Date: 1/26/2006 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE FUND ENTITLED: "HOMELESS IDENTIFICATION FUNDS" AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000, CONSISTING OF A GRANT AWARD RECEIVED FROM THE MIAMI COALITION FOR THE HOMELESS, INC., FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENHANCING THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI HOMELESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND SPECIFICALLY TO PROVIDE STATE OF FLORIDA IDENTIFICATION CARDS FOR HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO IMPLEMENT ACCEPTANCE OF SAID GRANT AWARD. WHEREAS, the City of Miami Homeless Assistance Program ("Program") provides outreach assessment, information and referral services to the homeless citizens of the City of Miami ("City"); and WHEREAS, the Miami Coalition for the Homeless, Inc., has awarded $20,000 to the Program to fund State of Florida Identification Cards for homeless individuals, thus enhancing the homeless services provided by the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The following new Special Revenue Fund is established and resources are appropriated as described below: FUND TITLE: Homeless Identification Funds RESOURCES: Miami -Dade County Homeless Trust $20,000 4PPROPRIATIONS: Enhancing the services of the $ 20,000 Program and to provide State of Florida Identification Cards for homeless individuals Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute the necessary documents to implement acceptance of said grant award. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 05-01433 (Version: 1) Printed On: 12/20/2016 File Number: 05-01433 Enactment Number: R-06-0048 Footnotes: {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
