The following is a recommended list of persons to serve on the selection committee in
accordance with RFP #04-05-121 to select a test developer for the promotional examinations for
the Civil Service classifications of Chief Fire Officer, Fire Captain and Fire Lieutenant. The
Selection Committee must be made of internal and external committee members. Internal
committee members are those who represent the advantage of the City in selection proceedings.
External committee members are those persons who represent an outside interest or group, or
who are neutral in association to the City. The selection committee must consist of an external
majority, and the following is the proposed committee for this process;

1. Assistant Chief Charles D. Maree, Emergency Response Division
Representing the Miami Fire -Rescue Department
(Considered an internal committee member)
2. Eyran Kraus, Ph.D., Acting Testing and Validation Supervisor
Representing the Department of Employee Relations
(Considered an internal committee member)
3. Chief Fire Officer Eddy Rodriguez
Representing the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 587
(Considered an external committee member)
4. Marie Williams, Ph.D., Senior Human Resources Analyst
Broward Sheriffs Office
(Considered an external committee member)
5. Christian Resick, Ph.D., Assistant Professor
Florida International University, Department of Psychology
(Considered an external committee member)
