Since then, the Department of Fire -Rescue has determined additional radio equipment is required to
outfit its Mobile Command Unit which will allow the Incident Commanders to communicate and
coordinate on scene planning, crisis management, and emergency response. The ability to
communicate is critical in managing coordinating efforts to effectively resolve an emergency situation
in an expedient and organized manner. These mobile radios will be permanently installed inside of the
Mobile Command Center ensuring interoperability and continuity between our own First Responders
and partnering agencies at the disaster location.
